Ruth was part of more than 300 swimmers that braved the chilly waters of the River Fal to take part in the annual RNLI Castle to Castle swim. The event is a one mile open water swim between Pendennis Point and St. Mawes Castle and offered a unique opportunity to cross this major estuary under controlled circumstances.Participants from across the South West donned their wetsuits and swimming hats on Sunday in aid of the charity that saves lives at sea, raising funds that organisers hope will eventually smash the £25,000 barrier.
